This training option is designed for dogs with severe anxiety, bite histories, severe aggression, issues fighting other dogs in the home, and dogs more advanced in age with more embedded habits. We do not have a goal of covering up these issues with simple obedience, constant maintenance, and control over your dog. Many trainers can teach aggressive and anxious dogs obedience in much shorter timeframes and then use that obedience to control the decision making of the dog to show improved behavior, but this only lends to short term success. This package is designed for real, long-term change for serious issues.

The biggest factor in behaviors and real behavior change is emotions. The goal of this training option is to help your dog feel differently around things that make them feel anxious or aggressive. We all act out of how we feel, and your dog is no different. Shorter board and trains focusing mainly on obedience will only cover up these deeper emotional issues and they can be unnecessarily stressful especially on older dogs. With the New Life Board and Train, we will ease your dog into our communication and expectations after building their confidence in who they are through a relationship built on play. We will use our bond and the motivation created through play to not just improve behavior, but to change how your dog feels in these stressful situations. Every dog is different and no training is magic, but this training package based on building your dog’s confidence in who they are through play is the best solution for setting you and your dogs up for real, long-term, life changing success!

Your dog lives in my house in Massanutten for 12 weeks!

• Immersion into normal life with new and better habits

• Will develop the fundamentals and rules of fetch and tug within the time allowance

• Healthy dog and human socialization

• Slower introduction to expectations especially for older dogs

• Fuller integration of commands with normal life

• Can include electronic collar from E-Collar Technologies and Herm-Sprenger prong collar for off leash and on leash reliability!

• Can include commands of “out”, “come”, “sit”, “place”, “heel”," “down”, leash manners and door manners, proofing for high distraction, long distances, and long duration holding commands until released

• Commands will be proofed off leash where applicable

• Can address and build confidence regarding any anxiety or aggressive behavior

• Can focus on aggression between dogs in the same house, helping them learn how to comfortably be around each other not in constant command and control

• Updates every single day

• 2-4 hour in-home turnover (within 2 hours of Massanutten) to make sure you know how to maintain the training and develop your new relationship with your dog!

• Lifetime refresher lessons at the park in Massanutten should you need any help transitioning the dog home or even if you let things slip a little
